The history of the forge dates back to 1955, when it was built and put into operation as part of the ZPS Hulín plant. At that time, it primarily served the production of open-die forgings for the mechanical engineering and military sectors.

Rotis d.o.o. was founded in 1991 and, over more than 30 years of existence, has developed into one of the largest manufacturers of slewing bearings, gears, welded structures, and other machine parts in Slovenia. The company is headquartered in Trzin near Ljubljana, Slovenia, with its main production facilities located in Kočevje. Since 2025, Rotis has been part of the ANACOT GROUP.
Rotis specializes in the development and production of large-scale slewing bearings (so-called slewing rings) with diameters ranging from 200 to 5,000 mm.
